Mason is a great big brother

Everyone is adjusting to having Ashley in the house.  Mom is getting the hang of scheduling things properly and she is healing up nicely from the surgery.  Dad is supportive.  Mason is wonderful, very helpful, and protecive of his new little sister.  Pugsley is very interested in her (sniffing and licking) and likes her diapers when we don't throw them away promptly.  Bear ignores her and just needs reassurance that he is still loved.Ashley is a doll.  She eats just once or twice a night (every 3 to 5 hours).  She perfers to be held all the time but only cries when she is very hungry.

Mason's first joke

We were eating dinner last night which included peas.  Mason looks at me and says "Mom, whats in my mouth?" and shows me his peas.  I say peas...  He looks at Matt and does the same thing.  Then he says "Bear pee!"  hahahaha

Mason's First Girldfriend

Mason has his first girlfriend.  I was asking him who he played with at school today and he says "I played with Kennedy. She is so cute. She is my best friend. I give her kisses."

Update

I’m in my 23rd week of pregnancy now. Ashley Elizabeth is doing great as far as I can tell. She sure likes to move a lot. I’m thinking of having a baby shower luncheon for her on June 25th or 26th. It feels a bit silly to have another baby shower since we have all the “Stuff”, but people keep reminding me that I don’t have little girly things like clothes….so we will throw her a luncheon.
Mason is wonderful. Aside from his occasional toddler tantrum he is the sweetest and happiest kid. Mommy’s little angel J. He has a stammer and stutter which has gotten worse instead of better over the past few months. We are taking him to see a speech pathologist at the end of the month to get it checked out. He is fast approaching the thunderous threes. I’ve scheduled his birthday party for July 16th for those of you in this state. He finally believes me that he won’t be 2 forever and is excited to have a Super-Hero themed birthday party.
The dogs are great. We have had Pugsley for 6 months now and are happy we adopted him. He still has a long way to go before we can consider him a “good boy” but he is loved. Both Bear and Pugs are very handsome and healthy. We took them to the dog park last weekend and they were hands down the fittest puggles at the park.

Matt and I are happy and healthy, enjoying our jobs, and looking forward to some summer sun. We have plans to pour concrete and create a large backyard patio this summer as well as finish a few odds and ends inside the house.

It's a girl!

We had our 20 week ultrasound today and they confirmed it is a girl!  Hooray!  She looks very healthy and is measuring right on for the estimated due date of September 1st.  So now I can start going through Mason's baby clothes and figuring out what to keep and what to give to friends. And of course I am so excited to start shopping for girly stuff. :)

Another lazy Sunday :)

Since Mommy doesnt have whole lot of energy these days we have lazy-ish weekends.
Today, after the housework was done, Mommy vegges out in front of the TV.
The dogs enjoy their chews.

And Daddy cooks with Mason.

There really is a baby in there

Mason doesnt believe me when I tell him there is a baby in my belly.  I showed him the picture to prove it.  Now he says he has two babies in his belly...big ones and boys.
