Mommy Group

I started a Mommy Group. The first one was at our house on January 31st. Decent turnout with 7 ladies and 5 kids. Mel has some cute images of Mason and her son Jaxon from that day http://lifewithjax.blogspot.com/
I couldn't find our camera so no pictures. And I tried to get some video but it ran out of batteries. Next time I'll get some good shots :)

Clapping, Hooray!

We have been trying to teach Mason how to clap for a while now. He hasn’t yet mastered the art of clapping on his own, but if you hold your hands between his he will clap them for you. He really likes patty cake with Momma or Grandma Cathy. On Saturday 1/31 Mason made the clapping gesture all on his own. He hasn’t repeated the motions again, but the first time was pretty exciting.

We have been trying to teach Mason how to wave hello. I wave and say hello to Mason as much as possible. One of our practices is visiting with the mirror people. We go into the bathroom every day and wave at the little boy and Mommy who live there. The little boy in the mirror is just so much fun! On Saturday, we were smiling and waving and giggling at our friends, and Mason waved back!

Too long for no blog!

So Mason is now pounding away on the rice cereal and moments away from the real food. Mason will be motoring away in the next couple of months. I'm now starting to batten down the hatches. Kate is a rock and powering through the 5:30am wake up calls to feed Mason and make it to work on time. I'm on the verge of a new career path and hoping to be employed by February. So life is good and hopefully better by the end of the month. Here's some new shots of Mason from the holidays.
