Pirates Aaargh!

2nd Day of Daycare: Ouch!

Well, Mason's second day of daycare didn't go quite as smooth as the first one. Poor little guy has a tiny little mouth mark on his back shoulder-blade. Mason is learning that not all kids are as huggy and happy as he is.
Grandma Cathy and Papa picked him up that afternoon. It had been over a week since Mason had seen his Papa and he was so happy to see him that he cried.

First Day of Daycare

Kate: Today is Mason's first day of daycare. We walked in and he was very excited about all the kids. I put him down and he walked off to join the older kids with puzzles. He looked back once and smiled at me, then joined the kids at the table and that was that. So I stood there for a few minutes and thought "So I guess I'm just supposed to leave now... He'll be fine. He won't choke to death on the lunch they give him. He is going to have lots of fun."
I was still freakin out though. I called at lunch time. They said he was doing great, bumped his head but was doing great.
Matt: When I picked him up he wasn't even that happy to see me. He ate well, napped well, and was "Happy" pretty much the whole time.

Walking Hooray!

Mason has started taking his steps unassisted today! Up until a few days ago he would not walk anywhere unless he had your finger firmly in his grip. Today he was taking a couple steps on his own, then when I picked him up after work he walked half way across the living room to me. We are so proud!

Woodland Park Zoo

Mason went to the zoo today with Grandma Susie, Aunt Suzanne, and cousin Jayce. Suzanne cannot walk very far anymore so they rented a wheelchair. Apparently they made quite the little train. Susie pushing Suzanne with Jayce on her lap pushing Mason in the stroller. They all had fun.

Happy Fourth!

We went down to Time Out to watch the Kirkland parade this year. I honestly didn't watch any of the parade except for the Blue Thunder. I was to busy socializing with friends I hadn't seen in a while. We had a BBQ in the evening with a few friends and family members. It was a lot of fun. Mason couldn't quite stay up long enough for the fireworks. Maybe next year.
